Roped Hydraulic
The roped hydraulic allows you to avoid drilling and minimize the risk of corrosion. Limited to similar travel restraints as regular hydraulic elevators.
Traction Elevators
Overhead Traction
One of the most common elevator applications is the over head traction machine is located directly above the elevator. Typically in a penthouse the elevator equipment is easily accessible.

Elevator modernization is something you should be able to plan for. As equipment ages parts and support becoming increasingly harder to find. A standard elevator lifetime is typically 20 to 25 years before requiring a major alteration or modernization. You may start to notice a decrease in ride quality and more frequent breakdowns of equipment, these are tell-tale signs to start planning for a modernization.
